Spark book review

Hello everybody and welcome to this blog. In this article, I will be reviewing the book called ‘Spark’ written by M.G Leonard. This is the second book of the current three. It is the successor of Twitch and was succeeded by Clutch. This book was published in 2022 and won the best crime novel in 2021.

The Twitchers are a group of bird enthusiasts who love to solve crimes as well. They are made up of Twitch, an enthusiastic bird watcher, Jack, a popular boy who used to bully Twitch, Aa and Tipi, two siblings, Tara, an inspired biologist, Terr a nice and kind person, and Ozuru, a fisher. In the last book, the twitchers’ mission was to capture them on the run. But now, the stakes get higher. One day, in Aves Woods, the local forest, Jack finds a cat in serious pain. Suspicions arise soon, but Jack, Terry, and Ava soon realize that the crimes connect with a different murder plot in the making. While the rest of the Twitchers are excited by the news that a bearded vulture, one of the rare birds, is planning to visit their town, Bridale, the three detectives find out that the plot is made by Lady Gremore and fellow professional hunter, Nick Skinner. Lady Gremore is a famous royalty queen and comes to Bridvale to have an annual Halloween party. Lady Gremore also has a private taxidermy of birds Nick Skinner has mostly killed. Before the upcoming party, however, she wants to add one more bird to her taxidermy. The bearded vulture. Jack and the twitchers know that they need to stop the murder of this beautiful, endangered bird, but will they be able to do so before it gets murdered?

This book would obviously be recommended for birdwatches as this book is based on that topic. Also, I would recommend this book to people who are enthusiasts of novels and crime. This book has deep characters and also good description. I would rate this book a 4/5 and would recommend this book for 10-11-year-olds.
