Hello guys and welcome to this blog. In this blog, I will be discussing how to prepare for the IGNITE and Scholarship test, but this time, I will be talking about it from the MENTAL aspect. In this blog, we’ll be going over how to mentally prepare for the IGNITE/ACER test in the aspects of food, sleep, self-belief, sibling help, and exercise.
- Food
The first point we are going over is food. Many people may think the IGNITE and ACER test matters about your preparation style, not what you eat. However, that statement is atrocious. When preparing for an exam, people need to eat healthily. It is like somebody preparing for a marathon. Let’s say that every day, the person does a lot of pushups, squats, stretches, and practices his running, as much as Usain Bolt does. However, when he comes back from training, he snacks on unhealthy items and rarely eats protein-filled foods. What do you think will happen to him? He is going to do pathetic on the day, and other runners who have been training and eating well will surpass him. Your brain needs nutritious foods, like eggs, fish, fruit, vegetables, walnuts, milk, and other protein-rich, carbohydrate-rich, dairy-rich, and nutrition-rich items to make a balanced diet. These can help you strengthen your brain and surpass other people in subjects they are better at.
2. Sleep
The second mental tip is sleep. Sleep is undoubtedly one of the most important areas during exam preparation. Sleep helps your body restore, brain rest, and help you get ready for the next day. Studies have shown people who get the minimum amount of sleep now suffer from diseases like dementia, headaches, increased disease risk, less attention span, and are more careless. During your exam days, it is beneficial that months before your exam starts, you should be sleeping between 8-9:15 pm, and waking up between 6:30-7:15 am. This helps you sleep for longer times which increases carefulness, brain power and many more things. A fortnight before your exam, I suggest that you should sleep between 7:30 and 8:45, for increased awareness. Always remember your sleep and exam before hopping on a late-night gaming session or staying up late. And remember one last thing: never sacrifice your sleep for study.
3. Self-Belief
The next tip is self-belief, which is also an important factor when preparing for an exam. Self-belief is the art of thinking you are the best, you can do anything if you put maximum effort into the task you’re going to do. Imagine an engineer who is going to build a building. But he has no belief. Even if he is an excellent engineer, what do you think he is going to make without any self-belief? Something that is not his full potential. So, you need to have belief when doing the test and practicing for the test. Say ‘I can do it’ in your head. Change your body style to hard work and always put 110% effort into everything, no matter what the situation is. Ask people for inspiration and believe that you can get into the program/get a scholarship with hard work.
4. Sibling Help
The next tip is sibling help. Although siblings may seem like a hindrance during the preparation of the test, they can be super useful. In a previous blog, I explained how they can be useful. First, you need to put your work out for every question you attempt in a practice test. From there, you can sit your sibling down, and explain to them how you solved the question so that you can understand better how to do the question and how to tackle similar questions that may come in the test. After all, even teachers learn when explaining concepts to students.
5. Exercise
Lastly, I will be talking to you guys about exercise. Exercising is also one of the most important factors when preparing for the IGNITE/ACER test. While preparing for the test, you must do at least 1 hour of exercise per day. Exercise can take your mind off bad things and can make you happy. It can make you motivated as well, and if you do it before a study session, it can be even more effective, as it can make you get energy and be focused. Always remember to exercise!
That is the conclusion of this blog. I hope whoever reads this blog does well in the IGNITE and ACER tests and gets into the school they want. While you are here, do you want to read about the IGNITE test as one whole? I’m sure you do. Just click Here!
